Shiquita R. Williams

Born on November 08, 1979 and called home on July 24, 2025, far too soon but God's will, at the age of 45. Shiquita lived a life filled with laughter, love, and determination. 

Shiquita was a proud graduate of Towers High School, class of 1998. That same year, she welcomed the joy of her life, her daughter Delecia Hoard into this world. From that moment on, Shiquita's life was driven by love, love for her child, and her grandchildren. She also had a special love for her sister Sharron V. Williams. She loved the fact that she and her sister would go ride their motorcycles together laughing and having a good time. She loved her brother dearly; she had a pet name for him “Fool” because she thought he was so silly. When they got together the laughter never stopped. Shiquita worked hard from a young age, rising through the ranks of every fast-food restaurant she joined, always becoming a manager. When Shiquita set her mind to something she did it with excellence. After years in the fast-food industry, she followed a new dream of becoming an over the road driver, a job she truly loved. Every mile she drove gave her joy and freedom. If you knew Shiquita you knew she was full of love, laughter, and light. She didn't have a mean bone in her body. She made friends everywhere she went, and once you met her you didn't forget her.

Her kindness her humor and her generous spirit touched so many lives. She was also proud to be a member of the motorcycle club The Stallions where she was known as Slim. She loved riding and deeply valued the bond she shared with her club family. She also had a love for old school music, something she inherited from her mother Vanessa. Shiquita would play those classic tracks just to get a reaction out of her mother. Her favorite thing to do was turning up the music and wait for her mother to hear it, and her mom would say “you don't know nothing about my old school music play your little hip-hop mess”. That would put the biggest smile on her face. She also loved joking with her father Amos, telling him that he has a big head, and how she could drive a tractor trailer better then he can. He would look at her and say yeah right, I'm the best driver in the world! Shiquita Loved being surrounded by family and friends and treated her friends like family.

Shiquita Leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Her daughter Delecia, her 3 beautiful grandchildren Dream, Lon'dyn and Loyal. She is also survived by her loving parents Amos and Vanessa Williams. Her sister Sharon V Williams, her brother, Darren. A Williams and her many Uncle's, Aunt's, Cousins, and friends who cherished her deeply.

Shiquita made the world brighter. She gave freely of her hear, and she made people feel seen, loved. We will miss her laughter, her light and her warmth. Her spirit lives on and the lives. She touched and the memories we hold close. She will always be remembered and loved.
