Our dearest Sharhondalynn Letrice Lathan, born January 11, 1983, departed this life on January 1, 2026, surrounded by love and cherished memories. Sharhondalynn was a devoted mother, a treasured daughter, a protective sister, and a loving aunt and cousin. She was a loyal friend whose warmth, laughter, and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone blessed to know her. She leaves to cherish her precious memory of her five children: D'Marius Young, D'Marcus Washington, Corey Biggs Jr., Casimir Lathan, and Ashanti Lathan—the lights of her life and her greatest joy. She is also survived by her loving mother, Valerie Jenkins, and her father, George Lathan; her brother, Anthony Lathan; and her sisters, Valencia Jenkins and Danielle Jenkins. She also leaves her grandchildren, Corey Biggs lll and Jahziah Washington; her nieces, Shania Davis and Jazmin Randolph; and her great-nieces, Gianni and Kehlani Davis, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Sharhondalynn also leaves behind a host of cherished aunts and uncles: Mary Wallace, Ricky Jenkins, Herman Jenkins, and Harry Jenkins, along with many cousins who were more like brothers and sisters to her. Her cousins shared her laughter, her secrets, her victories, and her struggles—each one carrying memories of her that will live on forever. She also leaves behind lifelong friends who became family, who stood by her through life's ups and downs, and who will continue to honor her through their love and remembrance. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Lillie Ruth Lathan and Hattie Mae Jenkins; her grandfathers, Clemons "Boe" Lathan and Harry Jenkins; her aunts, Angelia Lathan and Shirley Bell; and her uncles, Robert Bell and Chester Jenkins. Sharhonda will forever be remembered for her sweet yet no-nonsense sense of humor, her strength, and her fierce love for her family. Her presence lit every room she walked into, and her impact will be carried in the hearts of her children, family, cousins, and friends for generations to come. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit, laughter, and love will forever remain.
