Colleen Cathleen Burgess, also known as "Lottie," was born on February 7, 1971 in Seattle, Washington, and was the youngest of seven children. She had a passion for fashion and was notably known as a fashionista, which led to a career in the beauty industry and a diamontologist certification. Colleen will be remembered for her infectious smile and charismatic personality that could capture any room she walked into. She had the ability to make everyone feel welcome and made even strangers feel as though they had known her for years. Colleen was the definition of a social butterfly with an alluring sense of confidence and optimism. The true life of the party, often breaking out into a song and dance, was fitting because she was a beautiful melody in the rhythm of life. She was an honorable woman of strength and determination who fought a vigorous battle with breast cancer twice. Her battle with stage 4 breast cancer ultimately led to her peaceful passing at Wellstar Hospice Care in Marietta, GA, on December 16, 2023, at 11:05 am. Her vibrant personality, contagious smile, and Betty Boop appearance, better known as "Lottie Boop," will be greatly missed and cherished. Colleen is survived by her children: Le'Asha DeBerry (Marcus DeBerry-son-in-law), Deja Goins, Kiani Goins, and Ciara Goins; her two grandchildren, Elijah Beard and Banks DeBerry; and her mother, Bonnie Jean Burgess. Many loved her, and a host of wonderful friends and family will commemorate her memory.
