Anmmarie Mixon passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends. Despite the difficulties that she faced in the last few years of her life, she remained a loving mother and cherished friend.

Annmarie entered this world on February 11th 1968, and would grow up to be a person who left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was born in Kingston Jamaica, and migrated to Ontario Canada at the age of 7. Canada would be the place she called home throughout childhood and the majority of her 20's before eventually moving to Atlanta Georgia at the age of 29.

Moving to a new country on her own was only one of the many leaps of faith that Annmarie took in her lifetime. At the mere age of 16 she left home after being forced to choose between having a relationship with God, or living a secular lifestyle. If you've ever met Annmarie you already know which path she chose. From this point on it was her life's mission to fervently serve God. There was no decision she made without first asking for the Lord to lead her in the right direction. Although going to  America alone, she wasn't alone when she got there. Her lifelong friend Mary Williams who already moved to Atlanta a few years earlier was there to welcome and support her during this new chapter in her life.

During this new chapter of her life Annmarie would get married and start a family of own. Just like everything else, having children was yet another aspect of her life that she leaned on the Lord to help her with. She asked the Lord to only give her daughters and the lord answered her prayers. Ann would go on to have two daughters. Kiayatta and Moriah who she often referred to as her greatest accomplishments. Ann often told people that we were close, and she would say that motherhood healed many of the wounds she carried.

Aside from serving the Lord, Ann's most important mission in her life was to not be like the mother she had. She strived to be a mother that was patient, that not only fulfilled her kids basic needs, but also their wants if she had the resources to make it happen.

Of course Ann was so much more than just a mother. She was a multifaceted person who had hobbies and interests, like swimming, and dancing to her favorite music. Doing things like sightseeing, spending time at the lake and praising God, filled her soul with joy and peace. Ann was a beautiful and selfless woman who will be missed dearly

May we not remember Ann as a woman that was sick for many years and lost the battle to her various illnesses. Instead remember her kindness, her strength, and her determination to be a God-fearing woman despite all the obstacles she faced.

She was survived by her daughters, Kiayatta Mixon, Moriah Mixon. Her siblings, Dave Beckford, Joan Beckford, Christopher Campbell, Wayne Beckford, Ann Beckord, Shelley-Ann  Beckford. Her uncle Michael Clarke, and aunty Janet Thompson
